Our team visits each 24/7 Bag Drop location several times a week, collects labelled bags and brings them back to our Sandgate depot for counting and refund processing.

What do I write on my bags?
Clearly write your Containers for Change Member Number on every bag. We also recommend adding your mobile number.
Do I need a Member Number?
Yes. Bag Drop refunds are processed through your Containers for Change Member Number, so cash is not available from Bag Drop.
Can I get cash from Bag Drop?
No. Bag Drop is not instant cash. Use the Sandgate depot counter if you want cash on the spot.
How often are Bag Drops serviced?
Sandgate Bag Drops are serviced several times a week, then counted and processed through your Member Number.
What bags should I use?
Use sturdy bags that are securely tied and will not easily split while waiting for collection.
Can I use Bag Drop on public holidays?
Yes. Bag Drop locations remain available on public holidays.

Bag Drop refunds are processed after bags are collected, counted and submitted through your Containers for Change Member Number.

We need your Member Number to process Bag Drop refunds. If a bag is not labelled clearly, it may delay or prevent payment.
Can I use supermarket bags?
Use sturdy bags that can be tied securely. Avoid thin or overfilled bags that may split before collection.
Can businesses use Bag Drop?
Yes, but regular or high-volume returns may be better suited to commercial collection support. Contact our team if you are unsure.
What if my bag tears?
Use sturdy bags and avoid overfilling them. If a bag tears, the refund may be delayed because the team needs to identify and count the containers safely.
