About the Program

Queenslanders use around 3 billion drink containers each year. Containers for Change encourages people and groups to recycle eligible containers, supports local economies, and helps community groups and charities raise funds.

Once returned, containers are sorted into material types before being transported for processing and recycling into new containers and other products.
